Pappagallo is a second-generation family-owned women’s lifestyle boutique specializing in dressing women from head to toe. Pappagallo is known for their wide variety of women’s apparel, shoes, accessories and handbags featuring designers including Vera Bradley, Born, Skovhuus, L’artiste, Bella Vita, Terazzo and Snoozie.
Martha Goetze opened the first Pappagallo store in Wayzata in 1971. Two years later, Martha’s daughter, Libbie Hopwood, opened the second store in the Galleria. Another store was later opened in Palm Desert, California. By the late 70’s, they closed the Wayzata and Palm Desert locations to focus on the exclusive location at the Galleria. Pappagallo closed it’s Galleria location after 41 years in January 2014 and opened a brand new store at 6133 Kellogg Ave. S in Edina less than one mile from the Galleria. The store is now owned by Goetze’s four children and managed and operated by daughters Libbie Hopwood and Carrie Fordahl.
“We are thrilled to carry on the Pappagallo legacy in our new location,” said co-owner Libbie Hopwood. “After 40 years as a family-owned boutique, we have developed longtime relationships with our customers, covering multi-generations, and we look forward to providing our customers with the Pappagallo high-quality customer service and fashions for many more years to come.”
