40-YEAR OLD LOCALLY FAMILY-OWNED AND OPERATED BOUTIQUE LEAVES GALLERIA
Edina, MN—(January 23, 2014) Pappagallo, the 40-year old locally family-owned and operated women’s boutique is leaving the Galleria Shopping Center to relocate to 6133 Kellogg Ave S in Edina. The new store will open on February 1.
“We are thrilled to carry on the Pappagallo legacy in our new location,” said co-owner Libbe Hopwood. “After 40 years as a family-owned boutique, we have developed longtime relationships with our customers, covering multi-generations, and we look forward to providing our customers with the Pappagallo high-quality customer service and fashions for many more years to come.”
Pappagallo is a second-generation family-owned women’s lifestyle boutique specializing in dressing women from head to toe. Pappagallo is known for their wide variety of women’s apparel, shoes, accessories and handbags featuring designers including Vera Bradley, Born, Skovhuus, L’artiste, Bella Vita, Terazzo and Snoozie.
Martha Goetze opened the first Pappagallo store in Wayzata in 1971. Two years later, Martha’s daughter, Libbie Hopwood, opened the second store in the Galleria. Another store was later opened in Palm Desert, California. By the late 70’s, they closed the Wayzata and Palm Desert locations to focus on the exclusive location at the Galleria. The store is now owned by Goetze’s four children and managed and operated by daughters Libbie Hopwood and Carrie Fordahl.

Pappagallo has been dressing women from head to toe since opening their first store in 1971. The new store is located at 6133 Kellogg Ave. S.
